Watson-Marlow 400M and 400N Series Pumpheads are engineered for manufacturers of medical, diagnostic, and analytical equipment requiring compact, reliable, and easily integrated peristaltic pumping solutions. Their modular design allows multiple pumpheads to be mounted on a single drive, enabling multi-channel fluid handling without increasing the overall equipment footprint.
The 400M Series consists of single-channel pumpheads that can be combined into assemblies of up to four pumpheads on a single motor, providing systems with one to four independent flow channels. The 400N Series features dual-channel pumpheads, allowing up to eight independent channels to be driven from a single motor for higher-density fluid handling applications.
The 400M pumpheads are designed for 1.6 mm wall tubing elements fitted with Luer connectors, while the 400N Series uses 1.0 mm wall tubing with hose barb fittings. A fully enclosed pumphead protects the tubing from external contamination, and the ball-bearing-supported drive shaft ensures smooth operation and extended motor life. For chemically aggressive fluids, PVDF versions are also available.
Pumpheads can be supplied as standalone modules or as complete pump assemblies with integrated motors. For applications requiring extremely accurate flow control, stepper motor configurations are available, delivering outstanding repeatability and precise fluid delivery.
