Hovermap LHD

Geotechnical solutions

An innovative 3D LiDAR scanning system designed for installation directly on underground mining equipment such as LHDs (load-haul-dump trucks). It allows operators to quickly and safely obtain a complete 3D image of stopes in real time, even in complete darkness and with limited visibility. With a scanning range of up to 300 meters and a 360° panoramic view, Hovermap LHD identifies overhanging rock, structural hazards, slope angles, and other potential hazards without the need for surveyors. The system is easy to install, requires no extensive training, and transmits data via the mine network directly to the operator's tablet. This not only reduces risks to personnel but also protects expensive equipment from damage, avoiding downtime and increasing overall productivity. Hovermap LHD has become a new standard in safety and efficiency management in underground mining operations.

Hovermap LHD
Hovermap provides operators with advanced 3D analysis tools, enabling them to make decisions quickly and effectively in real time.
Reduce downtime
No more waiting for a surveyor on the day shift. Thanks to the simple controls, any employee can perform an accurate scan of the mine in minutes—even with minimal training.
Understand deeper
3D visualization helps operators identify overhangs, structural threats and slope angles
See more
Hovermap provides a range of up to 300 meters and 360° visibility, allowing operators to get a complete map of the mine workings – even in complete darkness.

Hovermap LHD
Analysis
A remote operator can view a complete scan of a stope in 5 minutes.
Data Transfer
Data is transmitted to the remote operator via the LHD network.
Mount
Install the mount and scan for 1-2 minutes while the equipment is moving.
Easily identify:
  • Soil obstructions
  • Roof and sidewall cracks
  • Hanging obstructions
  • Rill angle
  • Structure changes
  • Draw point
  • Rocks on the ground
Use standard Commander functions to scale, rotate, pan, and crop the image.
View the footage in high definition in 5 minutes
